He kissed her slowly, tasting a faint trace of pineapple and feeling grateful, again, that Simon had decided not to come along. He barely knew how to live without her now.
"You picked up lip gloss on Earth?" he asked as he drew back, smirking playfully at his commander.
She smiled, rather shyly, and flushed slightly pink. "I missed the routine of putting it on in the morning."
He couldn't help but grin at her, loving the little things. "Well, it tastes good, but you taste better." With that, he took her mouth in another searing collision.
Life was good.
