---------

She'd often heard people wish there were more than twenty-four hours in a day, but she had never actually experienced it before the twenty-eight of Atlantis’ days. Jet-lag? The twist of ironic amusement at the corner of her mouth would have betrayed the change in her opinions on a visit back to Earth, if the woman who complained about being tired on a flight had known her situation. There were times Elizabeth Weir wished she’d never gone through it, but those thoughts only crossed her mind on trips between the Milky Way and Pegasus; she didn't much regret leaving her planet of origin. Sometimes she begrudged leaving Atlantis to return there.

When wondering what to do with her downtime, it hit her that she didn't think of D.C. as home anymore. Her brother Alan lived in Maryland, but she'd gotten his voicemail when she’d called. He'd returned her call while she was out, leaving a brief message; "great to hear from you and know you’re safe, Sedge and I are fine, if you can make dinner tonight it’s pot roast". Pot roast! Elizabeth smiled when she realised she'd missed her brother's cooking. I must miss Earth more than I thought.
