feel it resound through your soul
this our crafted real
beat pounds, hissing sound
washing from your fingers to your feet
your head doesn't aid you
can't think of anything
but what you feel
breathe in the air
breathing the volume
as you turn it up higher
and the bodies all around you move
pressing, enclosing, flowing
with the rhythm that you hear
in my mind a drum of its own
I'm not giving you permission
but you take it anyway
and I cannot stay still
you move me
fading just to come back
slamming stronger into me
deeper than the river running into the night
nothing more can be said
close your eyes
and feel me there
repeated forever
no mission but to dance
and the day faded into silence
so many years ago
it seems
come closer
breathe into me
moist against the heat of skin
glistening in the dark
you lap the sheen from my body
and I lose control
