A/N: Binary is a pretty minor character but I tried to keep as close as possible to the little snippet we did get of her in Reloaded.

Binary strode into the officers' mess hall, pointedly ignoring a commotion near the door as she did so. Catching sight of Niobe at one of the tables, she made her way over, knowing she wouldn't be an unwelcome distraction - knowing, too, exactly why the other woman looked so irritated.
"Would you just look at that?" the newly-promoted captain muttered angrily, staring at Lock and Morpheus deeply involved in their old argument, and not even bothering to greet her colleague. "They're children. Children."
"I'm not gonna say it," Binary lifted her hands in a gesture of complete non-involvement.
"Oh, Zero, I'll say it enough for the both of us," Niobe answered bitterly, taking a swig of her drink and turning to face the newcomer as Binary took a seat, hitching a heel up onto the bench.
The woman shook her head, mouth quirking at the old training nickname. "That's not what I meant, but I know what you mean." Everyone knew by now.
Niobe glanced over her shoulder and then quickly turned back with a sharp laugh. "You know what I miss from the Matrix?"
They weren't supposed to miss things from the Matrix, but... "What?"
"Vibrators."
