"Everything that has a beginning has an end," she'd said. Neo didn't need to think about the Oracle's words later-- not this time-- but after a while, he couldn't really help it; the cold stone of dread and anticipation settling in the pit of his stomach as he faced her revelation made him feel even worse.
He didn't dare repeat what she'd said to Trinity; she was looking too worn down already, and telling her would make it all too real by half.
I know what I have to do. I don’t have to like it, but unless I can accept it, Smith will win. He can’t read my thoughts yet, though.
Trinity... I don’t want to leave her. I can’t give her up. She’s part of me, and I am part of her. If only...
I can’t go without her, but I know I should. In the end, I’ll have to let it be her decision whether she comes with me or not. I love her too much to have it any other way.
